How to put Outlook on Desktop

In this article we are going to tell you how to put Outlook on your desktop.

We are only going to provide instructions for O365 and future installations, if you are looking to install an older version of Outlook, we recommend checking out the Outlook help center.

The first thing you need for O365 Outlook installation is an account through Microsoft and a purchased plan. If you have not purchased one yet or you need help deciding, we can help you.

If you do have one, all you need to do is follow the simple steps below:

  1. Log in to Microsoft
    Use the following link to log in to Microsoft. You’ll want to bookmark this link for future use as it will be where you install all office applications:

  2. Click the “Install Office” button in the upper right corner of the page. Select “Office 365 Apps”.
    Once logged in, you’ll be brought to the O365 home page at The home page should look similar to the picture below. The button to press is outlined in red.

  3. Follow On Screen steps to install
    A pop up will appear and you’ll begin a download. You will want to follow the instructions, which tell you to run the application and yes to start installing.

  4. Start Application
    Now all you need to do is start the application you want to use, Outlook in this example, and log in with the same credentials you used in Step 1. Voila! You are off and running with your Outlook installation!
