Setting Up Your DNS Servers

What are DNS Servers?

Domain NameServers (DNS Servers) help make using the internet easier. Rather than having to memorize the IP address for your favorite website, you memorize the domain name, such as littleacorn.net. The DNS Servers connect the domain name to the IP address. Having your domain nameservers setup correctly allows users to get to your website.

Changing DNS Servers

We’ll run through updating your nameservers with Little Acorn and some of the common registrars.

Little Acorn

Login to Little Acorn and click on Domains.

Domains

Next, click on the settings dropdown.

Then click on Manage Nameservers.

Manage Nameservers

On the next page you can select to use the our default servers or enter customer nameservers.

Using other registrars

If you are not using us as your domain registrar, you’ll need to point your current domain registrar to our nameservers. A minimum of two nameservers are required for any domain. Enter the DNS servers listed below on your domain registrar.
